Economic Development Strategy for the Sonoma Valley Economic Development Partnership
Accomplishments of the Sonoma Valley Economic Development Partnership to date include:
- One-on-one business advisory services provided to more than 200 local businesses through partnerships with the Small Business Development Center and the local chapter of SCORE
- Dozens of businesses assisted through redevelopment loan programs for building rehabilitation and façade improvement in the City and the Springs.
- Numerous mprovements to the downtown shopping environment, including business wayfinding signage, improved parking directional signage, holiday wreaths, and year-round Plaza light pole banners
- Launch of SonomaValley4Biz.com, a "one-stop shop" for new, relocating, and existing businesses, visited about 13,000 times each year.
- Development of information packets for new businesses, a site location assistance tool, business attraction print materials, posters for vacant storefronts, and personal assistance to several new or prospective businesses each month
- Development of a Green Hospitality linen card program, water conservation resource guide, a Green Events guide, and other business sustainability programs.
- Development of a Shop Sonoma program to promote the many benefits to the community of shopping locally.
- Streamlining of the City's regulations for business signage, and development of a City permit guide for small businesses.
