Underscoring Sonoma's recent recognition as a "Bicycle Friendly Community" is the recent opening of Wine Country Cyclery on West Napa Street in downtown Sonoma.  A grand opening event is scheduled for 10 a.m. on May 1.  Wine Country Cyclery offers products by Cannondale, Schwinn, GT, Mongoose, Skuut, Thule, Shimano, Pearl Izumi, and more, along with a wide array of bike services, from tune-ups to overhauls.

Wine Country Cyclery is the second bike-related businesses to open in the valley in recent months. Sonoma Valley Bike Tours opened in 2009, joining longtime businesses Sonoma Valley Cyclery, Good Time Touring Company, and more.  Additional options for those who prefer fewer than four wheels are available through Sonoma Segway and the local scooter shop, Sorento Imports.
