New Restaurants Add to Culinary Scene

Several new restaurant businesses have opened in Sonoma Valley in recent months, adding new dimensions to a region known for its outstanding culinary environment.  Mamma Tanino's, at 500 West Napa Street, features executive chef Gaetano Patrinostro, who has worked at restaurants throughout Europe and the U.S., including Spiedo's (Silicon Valley), Pappagalo's (NY), Rex (LA), and Valentino's (Hollywood).  Mondo, located at 875 West Napa Street, is an American beer garden offering 20 beers on tap, and food prepared using only the finest local ingredients. Estate, at 400 West Spain St., was recently opened by Sondra Bernstein and offers regional Italian food and "festive drinking" in a beautiful historic building originally built as a home for the daughter of General Vallejo.
