Green Business Sector is Growing in Sonoma Valley

SolarCraft, EcoTelligent, and GeoPraxis are among the businesses with new Sonoma Valley locations to meet the growing demand for green products and services.

 

SolarCraft, which has installed over 4,300 solar energy systems since being founded in 1984, opened a Sonoma office at 414 West Napa St. to help accommodate their growing business in the Valley.  According to SolarCraft co-founder and President Bill Stewart, Sonoma’s “ the unique combination of climate, strong local economy, environmental awareness, and the desire to be sustainable among local residents and businesses make it a great place for renewable and energy efficiency."

 

EcoTelligent LLC  is dedicated to “earth-conscious landscape design and installation services and environmentally friendly ongoing landscape maintenance.”  EcoTelligent serves clients interested in reducing carbon emissions, noise pollution, fossil fuel consumption, excessive water usage, and use of toxic chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides.  The use zero emission battery powered lawn mowers, leaf blowers, hedgers, and trimmers, charged by solar panels.

 

GeoPraxis Inc., now located at 393 West Napa Street in Sonoma, combines "expertise in market reserach, energy information, and energy programs to devise practical and innovative solutions to the information and decision-making challenges clients face in a world of growing technical complexity and finite resources."  GeoPraxis also operates EnergyCheckUp, an energy rating service for existing homes, that helps homebuyers and sellers to identify how to save energy in any home, mobile home, or multifamily property
